Licensing Depth3D.
If you build a display, a pair of glasses, a handheld or a headset and you want Depth3D on it, get in touch with me directly.
How the shaders are licensed today
Depth3D is free for personal use. It is not open source, and it is not free to ship inside a product.
The shaders are proprietary. You are welcome to download them and use them yourself, on your own machine, for as long as you like. Redistribution needs my authorization, and that includes bundling them with hardware, putting them in a driver or utility, or shipping them as part of anything you sell.
That is not there to catch people out. It exists so that when a manufacturer wants to use this properly, we can have a real conversation about it.
What a licence usually covers
Every arrangement is different, but these are the usual pieces:
Getting in touch
Come to me directly. There is no reseller, no agency and nobody authorised to license this on my behalf.
A short first message is fine. What the device is, roughly when you are planning around, and what you want it to do is enough to start.

I am also happy to receive hardware to work against. Getting 3D right on a device is far easier with the device in hand. See About.
