Depth3D
Post-Process shaders for ReShade
Ships with Depth3D

Overwatch sets the shader up for you.

Overwatch.fxh is a companion file that configures SuperDepth3D per game. Most titles work the moment you press Home.

What it does

v5.0.4

Getting depth right by hand takes time. Overwatch already knows the answer for over nine hundred games.

It sets these for you, before you touch anything:

  • Depth map linearization and flip
  • Near plane and auto near plane
  • Zero Parallax Distance and convergence
  • Boundary detection levels
  • Weapon hand handling
  • Letterbox, aspect ratio and upscaler corrections

Emulators are covered too: PCSX2, CEMU, Yuzu, Ryujinx, Project64, Xenia and N64 Recompiled.

When a profile loads, the shader says so at the top of its menu. Leave the depth settings alone at that point. Changing them fights the profile.

What the banner is telling you

Overwatch also warns you about things it cannot fix on its own.

No profile for your game

There is a video walkthrough. Depth3D Profile Guide Basic builds a normal profile from start to finish, in five parts.

The same thing in note form, once you have seen it done:

  1. Turn on Depth Map View. You want a grey gradient, dark near you and lighter into the distance.
  2. Looks inverted? Switch Depth Map Selection from DM0 to DM1.
  3. Upside down? Tick Depth Map Flip.
  4. Turn the view off and adjust Near Plane Adjustment until it looks right in game.
  5. Set ZPD Boundary Detection to BD1 through BD3, then tune the ZPD Scalers.

Turn on Profiler_Mode in the shader to unlock the extra tuning levels used for building profiles. Send me what you make and I will add it.

Where donations go

Overwatch is where support makes the most difference. It pays for the time that goes into testing games, building profiles and widening compatibility.
